CREATION PROCESS

The creation process for me is most sacred. It’s a spirited dance of inspiration, materials, concepts, space,  time and money. Sometimes it’s a solo journey both in my mind and through the creation. Sometimes I dance with a client, finding thier dream and layout amazing places and moments. Sometimes it involves more people to see the vison through; partners, collaborations, working crews, a right hand man(or woman), or an entire audience of thousands! Hah! Indead, I love to create and you must as well. So join me in a for a few glipses of the moment of creation.

When material has to get there, and its come from another country on a flat deck, though customs, a transfer station, on a barge, and still needs to get delivered to a remote location where the crane can’t go…. no problems! I’ve got this.

This project was for an outdoor arts class at the Roberts Creek Community School. The pole was a collaboration of professsionals to inspire the kids own creations.

Quite often the process is as beautiful as the end result.

I harvest from nature, on the spot. Here I am clearing a new building site while harvesting cedar shakes from an abandoned stump for Ed Land’s Gazebo

And as we all know, these projects are greater than just myself. They require many people in synchronized effort, teamwork. Here are a few recent friends that I have enjoyed working with, effective, positive and just great people to spend the day working with together.

….And a hat tip to the materials, the raw and untamed, to the traditional and future tech. Let them all come together and Dance!
